bit of patchy fog, 56 in san francisco, 41 napa, 40 in santa rosa. the thing we're going to be watching today will be showers in the north bay, sonoma county. this front will bring in cooler, d drier air. mid 50s in san francisco and tonight wind advisory up for bay area hilltops with gusts near 45 miles per hour. we could have issues with tree branches and the like. sunday cooler to start the week and maybe by thursday and friday, a real chance of rain. stay tuned. >> thank you, rob. it is finally over and the votes have been counted. bart workers approved the temporary contract which ended last month's strike. union leaders announced the ratification with the union approving the contract at 88%. go 2,300 employees were eligible to cast ballots. the workers ratified the deal and now the board of directors for bart has to give final approval. what the riders get, the riding public, is three years of no strike threat. the contract has a no-strike clause. >> terminal three at l.a.x. remains closed after mabb carrying a high powered rifle stormed the airport in a deadly rampage. t

, a cool start but you might think 48 seems chilly in santa rosa. but actually we're running a little warmer thanks to the fact we've got some north winds across the north bay valleys this morning. that is leading to some temperature changes of about ten degrees warm they are morning, but that's going to start to go away as we see temperatures cooling off thanks to clouds spilling in this afternoon and cooler, drier air settling in over the next couple mornings. we could have some patchy frost in the north bay tomorrow morning. today highs low to mid-60s, increasing clouds, breezy at times. less wind into tomorrow morning, so we'll see 30s and 40s next couple mornings. afternoons will be trending a bit warmer and then next weekend a chance of seeing some showers. >>> walnut creek police are investigating two burglaries and an armed robbery that all happened in just 24 hours at a mall that's usually pretty quiet. we're talking about the palo ver decimal with lunardi's market is. it took just a matter of moments for a burglar to smash a glass door and bust into a thai restaurant. camera

and killed by a sheriff's deputy in santa rosa. protesters will board buses in oakland which will take them to and from santa rosa for a march ahead of his funeral tonight. christie smith is live at the bus stop at 14th and broadway in oakland where the bus will take off in a couple hours. good morning. >> reporter: there have been marches and rallies before over the shooting death of 13-year-old andy lopez but this may be the biggest one yet. of course people from santa rosa will be there but also people from here in oakland as you said, there will be a bus that departs at 8:00 from where we are at 14th and broadway, this provided by the family and friends of another boy, a 16-year-old killed in an officer-involved shooting in stockton. his name james rivera. hundreds of people are expected to rally and march in the streets in support of 13-year-old andy lopez who was shot and killed last week in an offer-involved shooting. hundreds marched through the streets of santa rosa. today police are advising drivers to expect gridlock. they will merge together and march to the sheriff's offic

are not known. >> the sonoma county supervisor accused of trying to break into a santa rosa home will be in court. 32-year-old was arrested back in july after a woman called police saying someone was trying to break in through her bedroom window. while police were on the way he knocked at the front door, identified himself as a neighbor and then ran away. he's charged with one misdemeanor count of peeking. >> a south bay father is in fail facing child endangerment charges after police say he left his kids 18 an suv for 15 hours. julio reyes parked his car about 10:00 tuesday night. he then went off to meet a friend. neighbors reported the car to police around 1:00 the following afternoon. inside police found reyes' 8-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter alone with the doors unlocked. the kids were immediately taken into protective custody. reyes did not report his children or suv missing until late wednesday night. >> it's 5:05. this morning police are still trying to track down the owners of two pit bull mixes that attacked people in antioch. a man was walking his dog when's when tw

gilroy, 74 degrees up in santa rosa. 69 down in santa cruz. so let's talk about the changes headed our way. i stop the clock for you. we get through the second half of wednesday we're going to see cloud cover move in. i stop that at about 8:00 p.m. mostly cloudy conditions for the greater bay area. the jet stream moves to the south. that means the storm system, the window will be open for these areas of low pressure to move over the bay area. then we get our first chance for rain. we head through 7:00 p.m. thursday. not expecting a lot of activity. may a stray shower or two. that chance gets better as we head through sunday into monday. overall soupy and much cooler as we head throughout the end of the week into saturday. mostly dry until late sunday into monday. you can see the storm track starting to slowly move to the south. for us we'll meet back on monday we'll likely be tracking light showers, not expecting much but as long as the jet stream stays south that means we're going to continue to see this chance for rain. it could last into the midsection of next week. so, best chance
